The West Ham board are seriously concerned and are reviewing the situation surrounding the future of David Moyes, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

West Ham’s performance levels and results have dipped significantly since the turn of the year, with the club win-less in the 8 matches played thus far in all competitions, whilst conceding 11 goals and not scoring once in the previous 3 fixtures.

It’s an alarming run of form, which has understandably again raised question marks over the Hammers manager Moyes, with much discontent amongst the fan base who many now feel a change is needed to take the club forward.

Although its recognised that the club won its first major trophy in 43 years last season under the Scot, it cannot be ignored that the league campaign was a poor one, with the club embroiled in a relegation battle for the vast majority of the season.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, our co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee stated that the club are now very concerned with the current state of play, with the board reviewing options although attempting to avoid any panic moves.

“I have spoken to people within the club and it’s clear they are massively concerned,” stated Ex. “There are question marks surrounding the manager, with the shared view that the team are at present performing like a relegation side.

“The current stance is that there isn’t another manager right now ready and available to step in, so they are hoping at this stage that Moyes will be able to turn things around – I think he’ll be given the Europa League last-16 tie at least, as it currently stands.”

Ex also advised that the club are however reviewing the situation, and its also understood that Tim Steidten leading the project to identify potential replacements for Moyes, should the club decide to end is tenure during or at the end of the season.

“The board are very aware of the feelings amongst a large portion of the fan base,” added Ex. “For now, they believe Moyes still has the backing of the players and staff, however they have stressed they are reviewing the situation.

“It appears they will stick with Moyes for the short term, in the hope performances and results will improve. Although plans are in being put into place should they decide to dismiss the manager, with alternatives now being looked at.”
