West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen is currently being assessed in regards to an injury he sustained at the weekend, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The England international had to be replaced following an impact challenge to his hip during our 2-1 victory at Wolves on Saturday, which was a vital 3 points in our hunt for European football again next season.

Our Hammers snatched the win thanks to a stunning James Ward-Prowse corner, which he fired directly in to seal the victory, however the delight was somewhat marred by the injury sustained to Bowen, which looked concerning when the former Hull City player signaled that he had to leave the field of play.

It has left many worried at what extent the injury could keep Bowen sidelined for, however our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex has provided an update on the situation, with a fair amount of confidence that its not going to be considered serious.

“We have received an update from a top source on Bowen who has said that he is still sore,” reported Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “They are unable to tell at this point whether he will make Thursday, and will know more in the next 48 hours.

“It isn’t thought to be too serious, just heavy bruising. We will let you know when we get more.”

The hope now is that Bowen can recover in time to be able to feature in our Europa League Quarter-Final 1st leg clash with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany this Thursday, however at this stage its unknown whether that will be achievable.

Ex is set to provide a further update soon on the situation, which will be reported on Patreon first & foremost.
